WhatConverts isn't just a product—it's a team. And without that team, we know we'd be nowhere.
That's why each month, we recognize one team member who's gone above and beyond in their role, and we share a little bit about who they are and what makes them so integral to WhatConverts. (They also get a bit of free swag from our merch store!)
This month, our spotlight employee is Kaila Holmquist, Customer Success Manager.
How did you first get into the SaaS or tech industry, or what led you to WhatConverts?
My first role in tech was at Tallie, an expense management software company. When I joined WhatConverts, I was excited to be able to make a direct impact quickly and close the gap in marketing data using innovative technology.
Is there something unique about working on our team that you find exciting?
I love learning and growing in an environment where creativity, agility, and collaboration are at the forefront of everything we do. The potential to drive change and make a tangible difference is what really drew me in.
This could be a specific individual contribution, a customer success story, or a team accomplishment.
WhatConverts is my introduction to the marketing technology sector and I am proud of how quickly I gained industry specific knowledge to be able to efficiently and effectively onboard, grow, and retain clients.
Tell us what you like to do, and how you maintain work-life balance.
I like to get out of the house and take my dog on a new adventure to explore whether it’s a different street in the neighborhood or a part of town we have never been before.
It can be anything—from an interesting fact, to a hidden talent, to quirky hobbies.
I can sneeze on command.
Perhaps you want to code like a pro, master the art of PPC, or pick up a non-work-related hobby?
If I could instantly learn one skill, it would be the ability to speak and understand any language fluently. Being able to connect with people from all over the world without barriers would let me understand diverse cultures in a more profound way.
This can be work-related (like a tool or trend) or something personal (foods, pets, places, TV shows - anything!).
I’m currently obsessed with trying every local eatery in the new area I just moved to!
How has this advice helped shape your life or your career?
We’re all responsible for casting the stars in the stories of our own lives.
(This is a great opportunity to highlight a unique skill, or stead-fast know-how!)
I can go into the fridge/pantry and take a lot of nothing and turn it into a full gourmet meal. I have the ability to take whatever I have on hand—whether it’s a random mix of pantry staples or leftovers—and transform them into something unexpected and delicious. It's not just about following recipes; it's about improvising, knowing how to balance textures, flavors, and spices in a way that elevates the simplest ingredients into a gourmet experience. Put me on MasterChef and I’ll get the job done!
