WhatConverts isn't just a product—it's a team. And without that team, we know we'd be nowhere.
That's why each month, we recognize one team member who's gone above and beyond in their role, and we share a little bit about who they are and what makes them so integral to WhatConverts. (They also get a bit of free swag from our merch store!)
This month, our spotlight employee is Swati Bhatt, Zoho Implementer.
Tell us a little about your career path.
How did you first get into the SaaS or tech industry, or what led you to WhatConverts?
I started my career in Operations and Customer Service in Banking and then over time moved to different roles in Quality, Administration in various sectors like Shipping, IT Service, which helped me to build a strong foundation in process management, managing operations across cross departments.
This exposure to process design and management led me towards technology solutions and I started working as Zoho Administrator spearheading end to end implementation of Zoho One applications. My path into Zoho came from seeing firsthand how technology can streamline operations and improve service quality. Now I am excited to take this experience further and help organizations in implementing tools and optimizing processes end to end.
What do you enjoy most about your role at WhatConverts?
Is there something unique about working on our team that you find exciting?
What I enjoy most at WhatConverts is the combination of problem-solving and impact. I especially enjoy building automation and integrations across different tools. What brings me satisfaction is when I can find a solution for a complex problem by thinking out of the box where no direct approach is available. I have learned a lot since I started working at WhatConverts and have become a better Zoho Developer today.
What’s one project or achievement at WhatConverts that you’re particularly proud of?
This could be a specific individual contribution, a customer success story, or a team accomplishment.
There are no. of projects I have handled at WhatConverts that I am proud of, but to name one that I did recently is the one for implementation of Revised Demo Form. Though it was looking straightforward that we just need to capture additional fields in CRM, in reality, it changed the existing process of managing leads coming from Demo manually to a well-designed automation reducing manual work in lead conversion.
How do you like to unwind after a busy day in the world of SaaS?
Tell us what you like to do, and how you maintain work-life balance.
After a busy day, I generally hit the gym to work on my body strength and stamina followed by spending quality time with my family and my dog. It helps me to reset and recharge.
What’s a fun fact about you that your colleagues might not know?
It can be anything—from an interesting fact, to a hidden talent, to quirky hobbies.
A fun fact about me is that I have lived and worked in both India and Ghana (West Africa) for more than a decade, which has given me the chance to experience very diverse work and social cultures.
If you could instantly learn one skill (personal or professional), what would it be?
Perhaps you want to code like a pro, master the art of PPC, or pick up a non-work-related hobby?
If I could instantly pick up a skill, it would be improving how I express myself and structure my thoughts more confidently and precisely. I see it as a professional skill which will also benefit me personally as strong communication helps in building relationships, influencing ideas and leading projects.
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?
This can be work-related (like a tool or trend) or something personal (foods, pets, places, TV shows - anything!).
I am currently obsessed with working on my body and mind. I am trying to be consistent with my gym and yoga sessions to ensure that I am progressing towards my goals.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received, professionally or personally?
How has this advice helped shape your life or your career?
The best personal advice I received which has also helped me professionally is never stop learning and working on yourself. This has helped me a long way especially when I moved from one profile to another, across different Industries and even different countries. Instead of taking it as a back step, I took it in a positive stride, learned new techniques and skills and it helped me to grow.
You’re given the chance to win $5 million, but you have to beat 100 people at a single task. You can choose the task—what would it be and why do you think you’d win?
(This is a great opportunity to highlight a unique skill, or stead-fast know-how!)
If I had to pick the task, it would be training end users in Zoho applications – especially those who aren’t very technologically advanced. Over the years, I have developed skills for breaking down complex processes into simple steps that people can relate to and feel comfortable to work with so I believe I have a very bright chance of winning this task.
