WhatConverts isn't just a product—it's a team. And without that team, we know we'd be nowhere.
That's why each month, we recognize one team member who's gone above and beyond in their role, and we share a little bit about who they are and what makes them so integral to WhatConverts. (They also get a bit of free swag from our merch store!)
This month, our spotlight employee is Trey Flint, Account Executive.
How did you first get into the SaaS or tech industry, or what led you to WhatConverts?
I got a job with a cyber security SAAS company out of college which got me into the space. I was recommended by a mutual connection for this role and was looking for a step up in my career. I wanted something to challenge myself.
Is there something unique about working on our team that you find exciting?
I like learning new things daily and being pushed to hit my KPI’s.
This could be a specific individual contribution, a customer success story, or a team accomplishment.
I booked an outbound ICP demo on my first day of cold calling and have brought a lot of extra communication with the CSMs to improve our handoffs.
Tell us what you like to do, and how you maintain work-life balance.
I like to spend time with my girlfriend, root for Ohio State athletics, play video games, or hit the gym. I enjoy walks when it isn’t super cold out and play sand volleyball multiple times a week!
It can be anything—from an interesting fact, to a hidden talent, to quirky hobbies.
I play competitive esports as well as sand volleyball. I play in tournaments and leagues weekly for volleyball, or esports shooter games. I also played baseball in college.
Perhaps you want to code like a pro, master the art of PPC, or pick up a non-work-related hobby?
I would want to master poker or some sort of high-stakes game to win some nice side money!
This can be work-related (like a tool or trend) or something personal (foods, pets, places, TV shows - anything!).
Currently obsessed with the new Marvel Rivals video game. Been spending a lot of time after work and on the weekends playing with my friends.
How has this advice helped shape your life or your career?
Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.
(This is a great opportunity to highlight a unique skill, or stead-fast know-how!)
I would have it be a 1v1 in Call of Duty. I played competitive Call of Duty for my college’s esports team and have ranked in the top 1% of players the last 4 years so my odds of being better than the 100 people would be high!
