Understand Tracking Numbers
Tracking numbers in WhatConverts connect your marketing sources to every phone lead. Once you've set up your static or dynamic numbers, this workflow explains how to view, manage, and understand the data behind them.
Note: For setup instructions, see Set Up Tracking Numbers.
How It Works
Each tracking number in your account is assigned to a specific traffic source or campaign. When a visitor calls a tracking number, WhatConverts automatically records and attributes the call to its source.
- Static Numbers stay connected to a single campaign or location.
- Dynamic Number Pools rotate numbers based on the visitor's source to capture more precise attribution.
- Call Routing forwards calls to your destination number while preserving full tracking data.
- Call Attribution connects each lead to the ad, keyword, or source that drove it.
