    Call and Lead Tracking for Nextdoor


    Set up a Nextdoor Call Tracking Number in WhatConverts

    1Log into your WhatConverts profile. Click "Tracking" in the top menu. Select "Calls", then "Phone Numbers".

    2Click "+ Add Phone Number". Select "Advanced Setup". Choose "Offline" and click "Next Step". Move the slider to "1". Choose the Country, Phone Number Type (Local or Toll Free) and Area Code and click "Find Numbers". Review the number and click "Next Step".

    3Enter the Destination Number that you are forwarding your calls to and give your phone number a name to identify your number such as Nextdoor. Click "Next Step".

    The next few prompts will guide you through setting up these tracking numbers to ensure you have all the features that you're looking for. Toggle the settings on or off based on your preferences. Once you are satisfied with the settings you've chosen, click "Finish".

    2Log into Nextdoor and navigate to your business profile. Click "Your Page" on the left menu. Locate your business' Phone Number under Business Info and enter the tracking number you set up in Step 1.

    Use UTM Parameters to Identify Calls from Nextdoor

    Nextdoor uses "Noreferrer" links for business listings; This means, by default, a user who clicks through from your Nextdoor listing will be attributed as a direct visit. This section will show you how to update your URL in your Nextdoor listing to append a UTM parameters to identify the source as Nextdoor.

    Note: For tracking calls from users who click through from a Nextdoor listing, we recommend using an All Traffic Dynamic Number Pool.

    1Log into Nextdoor and navigate to your business profile. Click "Your Page" on the left menu. Locate your business' Website under Business Info.

    2At the end of your URL, type the following: ?utm_source=Nextdoor&utm_medium=Listing. Click "Apply".

    Now when a lead comes from Nextdoor, you will see the source reported as Nextdoor and the medium reported as Listing.

    Where to update your Nextdoor information

    3Test your implementation by opening your Nextdoor business listing in an incognito window. Click through to your website and call the tracking number as seen on your page.

    Log into your WhatConverts profile that call tracking for Nextdoor has been set up in. Click "Leads in the top menu. Under Lead Manager look for and review your phone call lead.

    Set up a Nextdoor Call Tracking Number in WhatConverts

    1Go to your WhatConverts dashboard. Under Profile, select "Tracking" and click "Phone Calls" then "Phone Numbers".
    2Click "Add Phone Number". Select between Local and Toll Free and click "Buy Number". In the prompt, name your phone number Nextdoor, enter your Destination Number, choose your call options and select "No" for Dynamic Phone Number Insertion.

    Click "Update".

    2Log into Nextdoor and navigate to your business profile. Click "Your Page" on the left menu. Locate your business' Phone Number under Business Info and enter the tracking number you set up in Step 1.
