Send Conversions from WhatConverts to VWO
WhatConverts can send conversion data back to VWO so you can see which landing page variations are generating the most qualified leads. By passing conversion data from WhatConverts to VWO, you'll have better visibility into which page variations drive real business results.
Before You Begin
Before you can send conversions to VWO, you'll need:
- A VWO account
- An active VWO testing campaign
Connect WhatConverts to VWO
Follow these steps to set up the VWO integration:
- Log in to your WhatConverts profile.
- Navigate to “Tracking”, then “Integrations”.
- Select the “Page Builders” tab.
- In the VWO module, click "Connect".
- Click "+ Add Connection".
- Select the Trigger type to pass your leads:
- New Lead Received: Triggers when a new lead is received
- Sales Value Received or Added: Triggers when a sales value is received with a new lead (for e-commerce) or when a sales value is added after the lead is received; the sales value will be sent along with the conversion
- Set as Quotable Lead: Only passes conversions to VWO when a lead is marked as "Quotable" in WhatConverts
- Create goal names for the lead types you want to count as conversions in VWO (e.g., "Phone Calls", "Contact Forms", "Live Chats").
- Click "Finish".
Set Up Goals in VWO
Follow these steps to create matching goals in VWO:
- Log in to your VWO account.
- Under “Testing”, select the campaign you want to track conversions in.
- Hover over “Settings” and select “Goals”.
- Add a new Goal for each of the Goal Names you created in WhatConverts:
- From the first dropdown menu, select "tracks custom conversion on"
- From the second dropdown, select "URL Contains"
- In the text input box, type the Goal Name you set up in the WhatConverts integration
- Click "Save" to save your changes.
Test Your Connection
Follow these steps to verify the integration is working:
- Visit one of your websites that has an active VWO experiment.
- Submit a form or make a call to generate a test lead.
- Log in to your WhatConverts profile.
- Find the lead and access the Lead Details.
- On the Lead Details page, verify that you see a confirmation showing the conversion was successfully sent to VWO
Once configured, WhatConverts will send conversion data to VWO based on your selected triggers, and you'll be able to see which page variations drive the most qualified leads.
