Track 3rd Party Chats
To track chat leads from third-party chat platforms, you’ll need to add custom code to your website. This allows WhatConverts to capture the chat data and record it as a lead.
Adding this code ensures that WhatConverts can identify when a chat occurs, collect relevant data, and tie each chat lead to the proper traffic source. In most cases, you’ll also need to set up Zapier so that chat data is automatically sent to WhatConverts.
Track Chats From Third-Party Platforms
To track 3rd party chats:
- Make sure the WhatConverts Tracking Script is installed on your website.
- Insert the WhatConverts chat tracking code on the page where your third-party chat widget is displayed.
- Use Zapier to send chat data from your chat platform to WhatConverts automatically.
- Start a test chat and confirm it appears as a new lead in your WhatConverts account.
