Set Up Appointment Tracking
Appointment Tracking allows you to capture and report on scheduled appointments directly from your website. When visitors book appointments, WhatConverts records their details and attributes each appointment to its original marketing source, giving you complete visibility into which campaigns drive real scheduled actions.
Before you start, see What is Appointment Tracking? for an overview of how appointment tracking works.
Enable Appointment Tracking
To track appointments:
- In your WhatConverts profile, select “Tracking” from the top menu.
- Select “Appointments”.
- Toggle Enable Appointment Tracking to activate appointment tracking for your profile.
- Click “Update Appointment Tracking” to save your settings.
Add the Appointment Tracking Code
To track appointments successfully, you’ll need to add the Appointment Tracking Code to your website alongside the WhatConverts tracking script.
- Copy the Appointment Tracking Code shown in your WhatConverts account.
- Paste the code on the page where appointments are confirmed or booked. Make sure the WhatConverts tracking code is included before this appointment tracking code.
- Replace the example data with your dynamic appointment values.
<script type="text/javascript">
$wc_leads.track.appointment({
'First Name': 'Joe',
'Last Name': 'Smith',
'Email Address': 'joe.smith@example.com',
'Phone Number': '+18884347185',
'Appointment Time': '10/01/2023 12:26 PM'
});
</script>
Confirm Tracking
After adding the code:
- Schedule a test appointment on your site.
- Check your Leads page in WhatConverts to verify that the appointment was captured.
- The appointment should appear with the visitor’s source, medium, and campaign details, just like calls and form leads.
