Lead Intelligence uses IF/THEN rules to automate actions based on lead data. Once you've learned what Lead Intelligence is, understanding how it works helps you build effective automation rules. 

How It Works 

Lead Intelligence operates on a simple IF/THEN structure: 

  • IF (Conditions): Define which leads trigger the rule based on lead data like type, duration, quotable status, or custom fields. 
  • THEN (Actions): Specify what happens when conditions are met, such as marking leads quotable, assigning scores, or sending conversions to ad platforms. 

Rules can be applied to new leads automatically or run on existing leads in bulk. You can create rules from scratch, import from templates, or copy rules from other profiles. 

Use Lead Intelligence 

To access and manage Lead Intelligence rules: 

  1. Access the Master Account or Profiles settings depending on where you want to apply rules. 
  2. Click "Lead Intelligence" from the menu. 
  3. From the Lead Intelligence page, you can: 
  • View all active and inactive rules 
  • Create new rules using templates or from scratch 
  • Edit existing rules by clicking on them 
  • Reorder rules by dragging and dropping (rules run in the order shown) 
  • Apply rules to existing leads using the "Manage Rules" option 

Note: Rules can be applied at the Master Account level (affecting all profiles) or at individual Profile levels for more specific control.

Common Lead Intelligence Workflows 

Lead Intelligence allows you to create the following types of rules: 

  • Qualify leads by duration: Automatically mark phone calls longer than 60 seconds as quotable and increase their lead score. 
  • Filter spam leads: Detect and flag spam based on keywords, caller patterns, or form content to keep reporting accurate. 
  • Send qualified conversions to Google Ads: Only send leads marked as quotable to Google Ads, training algorithms to prioritize quality over volume. 
  • Use AI to analyze intent: Ask AI custom questions about call transcripts or form submissions to identify high-intent leads automatically. 
  • Assign value based on service type: Set Quote Value or Sales Value based on custom fields like service category or product selection. 

Other Ways to Use Lead Intelligence 

Lead Intelligence gives you the flexibility to:  

  • Import pre-built rule templates for common use cases like sales coaching, lead scoring, or ad platform optimization 
  • Copy successful rules from one profile to another to maintain consistency across clients or locations 
  • Combine multiple conditions with AND/OR logic to create sophisticated qualification criteria 
  • Stack multiple actions in a single rule to update scores, values, and send conversions simultaneously
