Send Conversions to Ad Platforms Automatically with Lead Intelligence
Who has access to this feature?
Available on: Elite Plans
Access level: All Users
Lead Intelligence can automatically send qualified leads as conversions to Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Bing Ads, and other platforms. This enables value-based bidding by training algorithms to optimize for high-quality leads instead of just volume.
How It Works
Conversion rules filter which leads are sent to ad platforms based on conditions you define. Instead of sending every call or form submission, you can only send:
- Qualified leads marked as quotable
- Calls that exceed minimum duration thresholds
- Leads with specific Quote Values or Sales Values
- High-scoring leads that meet quality criteria
This gives ad platforms accurate conversion data so they can optimize campaigns toward leads that actually drive revenue.
Set Up Ad Platform Conversions
To filter which conversions are sent to an ad platform using Lead Intelligence:
- Access the Master Account or Profiles settings depending on where you want to apply rules.
- Click "Lead Intelligence".
- Click "+ Add Intelligence Rule".
- Select "Import rule from template".
- Choose the "Conversions to Ad Platforms" category from the left sidebar.
- Select one of the following conversion templates:
- Google Ads Calls at least 60 seconds: Sends phone calls at least 60 seconds long from Google Ads to Google Ads as conversions.
- Send Category Selection to Google Ads: Uses custom field selections to set sales values and send conversions with those values to Google Ads.
- Click "Import" to load the template.
- Review and customize the template:
- Adjust duration thresholds (e.g., change from 60 seconds to 90 seconds)
- Update custom field names to match your setup
- Modify which ad platform receives the conversion
- Click "Continue" to proceed to rule details.
- Fill in the rule information:
- Rule Name: Use a descriptive name like "Send Qualified Google Ads Calls"
- Rule Description: Add notes about conversion criteria (optional)
- Activate Rule?: Toggle on to activate immediately
- Time Zone: Select the appropriate time zone
- Click "Complete" to save and activate the rule.
Note: After creating the rule, edit your Google Ads connection trigger by selecting “Lead Intelligence Rules” under When should we trigger sending conversions?.
This ensures conversions are sent only when your Lead Intelligence logic runs. If the trigger is not updated, the same lead may be sent multiple times to different conversion actions. Once “Lead Intelligence Rules” is selected, steps 7 and 8 in the Google Ads integration (What lead types trigger these conversions? and Send leads as enhanced conversions?) are disabled because lead type selection and enhanced conversions are now controlled directly by your Lead Intelligence rules and must be configured there.
Common Ad Platform Conversion Workflows
Common workflows to filter the conversions sent to ad platforms include:
- Send Qualified Calls to Google Ads: Only send phone calls that meet duration or qualification thresholds to Google Ads, ensuring the algorithm learns from quality interactions.
- Send Leads with Quote Values: Automatically send conversions that include Quote Value or Sales Value data, enabling value-based bidding strategies.
- Send Category-Based Conversions: Use custom field selections to determine conversion values and send them to ad platforms with accurate revenue data.
- Filter by Lead Source: Only send conversions back to the platform they originated from (e.g., Google Ads leads go to Google Ads, Facebook leads go to Facebook).
