What is a User Role?
User Roles control what users can see and do inside WhatConverts. Users define which Master Account or specific Accounts someone can access, while Roles define the permissions within those accounts (what the user can view, edit, or customize). Use Standard Roles or create Custom Roles for maximum flexibility
Why Use User Roles?
User Roles ensure your team members and clients only see what's relevant to them. Benefits include:
- Protect sensitive data by restricting access.
- Provide client-specific or department-specific access with Custom Roles.
- Assign view-only access for reporting without editing privileges.
- Standardize permissions across teams for consistency and security.
Examples of How Businesses Use User Roles
- Agencies give clients a view-only role for their Accounts.
- Businesses assign department managers custom roles that include reporting but exclude billing.
- Master Account admins manage billing and integration permissions separately from lead management.
