Connect WhatConverts to Bing Ads
The Bing Ads Integration sends your WhatConverts lead data back to Microsoft Advertising for campaign optimization. Once connected, Bing's algorithm uses your conversion data to find more qualified prospects and improve your return on ad spend.
Note: Before connecting, make sure auto-tagging is enabled in Microsoft Advertising.
Before You Begin
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) account with active campaigns
- Admin access to your Bing Ads account
- WhatConverts tracking set up to capture conversions (calls, forms, chats, etc.)
Connect Your Bing Ads Account
Follow these steps to connect your Bing Ads account:
- In your WhatConverts profile, go to “Tracking” and select “Integrations”.
- Find Bing Ads in the list of available integrations and click “Connect”.
- Click “+ Add Connection”.
- You'll be redirected to Microsoft to authorize the connection. Log in with your Microsoft account credentials. Click through the prompts to grant WhatConverts permission to access your Microsoft Advertising account.
- Choose the Microsoft Advertising customer account you want to connect from the dropdown menu.
- Choose your specific Bing Ads account for this integration.
- Name your conversion action (e.g., "WhatConvertsLeads").
- Choose your click attribution:
- First Click. Use the first Bing Ads click found over the lookback window (default: 90 days)
- Last Click. Use the last Bing Ads click found over the lookback window (default: 90 days)
- Choose when to trigger conversions:
- New Lead Received. Send conversions when any new lead is received
- Sales Value Received or Added. Send conversions when a sales value is present (for eCommerce or when sales values are added later)
- Set as Quotable Lead. Send conversions only when a lead is marked as "Quotable"
- Lead Intelligence Rules (Elite plans only). Send conversions based on custom Lead Intelligence automation rules
- Choose which value to send (if applicable):
- Sales Value. The revenue a lead generated (can be entered manually or imported from your CRM)
- Quote Value. The estimated price of the product or service (typically entered when a lead requests a quote)
- Update existing conversions?
- Yes. Update existing conversions when the sales value changes
- No. Do not update existing conversions when the sales value changes
- Click “Update Connection” to save your integration.
Once connected, WhatConverts will automatically send conversion data back to Bing Ads based on your selected triggers.

Tip: If you're using an Office 365 or School/Business account, you may not be able to log into the Bing Ads portal using the WhatConverts integration. Instead, create an additional Microsoft Live account, grant it access to your Microsoft Advertising account, then use this new account to connect to WhatConverts.
