Send Leads from WhatConverts to Pipedrive

Create a Zapier workflow that automatically sends new leads from WhatConverts to Pipedrive as people.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

Create Your Lead to Person Workflow

Follow these steps to build your Zapier workflow for sending leads from WhatConverts to Pipedrive:

Step 1: Set Up the Trigger

  1. Log in to your Zapier account.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click "+ Create", then click "Zaps".
  3. Use the AI Copilot to enter the integration you are setting up, or use the Trigger Box and search for "WhatConverts".
  4. Choose "New Lead" as the trigger event. Click "Continue".
  5. Connect your WhatConverts account using your Profile ID and Secret Token.
  6. Configure trigger filters if desired (e.g., only leads from specific sources or lead types like "Phone Call Completed", "Web Form", or "Chat Completed")
  7. Test the trigger to verify the connection works and review sample lead data.

Step 2: Create a Person in Pipedrive

  1. Click the Action step to select a platform.
  2. Search for and select "Pipedrive". Choose "Create Person" as the action, then click "Continue".
  3. If not already connected, sign in to your Pipedrive account through the OAuth window.
  4. Map the following fields from the WhatConverts lead (Step 1):
    • LeadID Custom Field: Map the "Lead ID" from Step 1 (this is critical for future updates)
    • Additional fields as needed from your lead data
  5. Test this step to create a test person in Pipedrive and verify that the person appears correctly.

Activate Your Workflow

Once you've successfully tested all steps:

  1. Review the entire workflow to ensure all mappings are correct.
  2. Verify the LeadID custom field is properly mapped.
  3. Click "Publish" to activate the Zap.
  4. Monitor the first few leads that come through to ensure people are created correctly.

Understand the Lead ID Storage

When this workflow creates a person in Pipedrive, it stores the WhatConverts Lead ID in the custom Lead ID field you created. This Lead ID is crucial for the reverse workflow that sends sales data from Pipedrive back to WhatConverts. With this ID stored, future workflows can directly update the correct lead in WhatConverts without needing to search by phone or email.
