Lead Details FAQs
The Lead Details page shows all information captured for an individual lead in WhatConverts. From this page, you can review contact information, view marketing attribution data, and manage lead details.
For a complete breakdown of the page layout, see What Are the Lead Details?
What information is available for each lead?
The Lead Details page is organized into three tabs that help you review and manage lead data:
Overview Tab
Displays contact information, marketing attribution, and conversion data such as call recordings or form submissions.
Lead Analysis Tab
Provides AI-generated insights, including call summaries and detected intent when available.
Activity Tab
Shows a chronological history of updates made to the lead record by users or automated processes.
Can I edit lead information?
Yes. You can manually update several fields to help organize and qualify your leads.
These include:
- Quotable Status
- Quote Value and Sales Value
- Notes
- Additional and Custom Fields
Note: Marketing attribution data, such as Source, Medium, and Campaign, is captured when the lead is created and cannot be edited.
How do I listen to call recordings or view form submissions?
Conversion details appear in the Conversion Details section of the Overview Tab.
For call leads, you can:
- Listen to the call recording
- View call duration and caller details
- Access transcripts if enabled
For form leads, you can view all fields submitted by the visitor.
Why is the Contact Name or Company Field empty?
WhatConverts captures all data submitted through the form, but it may not automatically recognize which field represents the contact name or company.
To ensure these fields populate correctly for future leads, configure Field Mapping in your profile settings so your form fields map to the correct system fields.
Why does the Lead Location differ from the caller’s actual location?
WhatConverts uses multiple data sources to determine a lead’s location, which can result in differences from the caller’s actual location.
The location shown in the User Information section may be based on the phone number’s registration details. This reflects where the number was originally purchased and does not change if the caller is traveling.
WhatConverts also uses IP address data to estimate the caller’s location at the time the lead was recorded. This can vary based on ISP routing, mobile networks, or VPN usage.
Because these data sources measure location differently, the location shown on a lead may not always match the caller’s exact physical location.
Can I see who updated a lead’s status or value?
Yes. The Activity Tab provides a full history of updates made to the lead.
This includes:
- The user who made the change
- The previous and updated values
- The date and time the change occurred
Can I delete a lead?
You cannot delete a lead immediately. Instead, you can mark the lead as Duplicate or Spam from the Additional Information section in the Overview Tab.
When a lead is marked as Duplicate or Spam, it is removed from the dashboard and reporting.
After 30 days, the lead is permanently deleted from the account.
Note: The Duplicate and Spam options are located in the Additional Information section of the Overview Tab on the Lead Details page.
