How do I start tracking my website?
To start tracking leads from your website, follow the steps in the Get Started Checklist. This article explains how to install the WhatConverts tracking script, track calls and forms, and connect your Google Ads account.
How do I set up tracking numbers?
To set up tracking numbers and begin tracking calls, follow the steps in the Set Up Tracking Numbers article.
Do I need a new phone number for every visitor?
No. WhatConverts uses Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI) to track which visitor generated each phone call.
Instead of creating a new number for every visitor, you create a number pool that contains several tracking numbers.
When someone visits your website from a tracked source, the phone number displayed on the page is replaced with a tracking number from the pool. When the visitor calls that number, WhatConverts records the call and attributes the lead to the correct marketing source.
How do I track my existing web forms?
You can use the Form Finder tool to automatically find forms on your website. Once the form is found, WhatConverts can capture submissions as leads.
If the Form Finder does not find your form, you may need to set it up manually.

How do I send leads back to Google Ads?
To send leads back to Google Ads, set up the Google Ads Integration.
After the integration is configured, you can choose to send leads to Google Ads:
- As soon as they are recorded in WhatConverts.
- After specific conditions are met, such as marking a lead as Quotable or assigning a sales value.
This allows Google Ads to optimize campaigns based on actual leads instead of clicks.
