Connect WhatConverts to Zoho CRM
Follow the foundational setup steps required before creating Zapier workflows to sync data between WhatConverts and Zoho CRM.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
- A Zoho CRM account
- A Zapier account
- Your WhatConverts API key:
- For Master Account integrations: Generate a Master API Key
- For Profile integrations: Generate a Profile API Key
Connect Zoho CRM to Zapier
When you create your first Zapier workflow with Zoho CRM:
- During the workflow setup, Zapier will prompt you to connect your Zoho CRM account.
- Click "Sign in to Zoho CRM" or "Connect a new account".
- You'll be redirected to Zoho to log in and authorize the connection.
- Select "Accept" to grant Zapier access to your Zoho CRM account.
- You'll be redirected back to Zapier to continue building your workflow.
Once connected, Zapier will have access to your Zoho CRM account for all future workflows.
Create Custom Fields in Zoho CRM (Optional)
Zoho CRM has many built-in fields, but you may want to create custom fields for:
- WhatConverts Lead ID (for tracking across systems)
- Additional marketing attribution details
- Call recordings or transcriptions
- Custom tracking parameters
To create custom fields in Zoho CRM:
- Log in to Zoho CRM.
- Click the gear icon and select "Setup".
- Navigate to "Customization" → "Modules and Fields".
- Select "Leads" (or "Deals" for sales tracking).
- Click "+ New Field".
- Choose field type:
- "Single Line" for Lead ID or URLs
- "Multi Line" for descriptions or transcriptions
- "Number" for numeric values
- Complete the field creation process.
