Send Leads from WhatConverts to Capsule CRM

Create a Zapier workflow that automatically sends new leads from WhatConverts to Capsule CRM as contacts.

Before You Begin

To set up this integration, you will need:

• A Capsule CRM account and your site address
• A Zapier account
• Your WhatConverts API key:
  • For Master Account integrations: Generate a Master API Key
  • For Profile integrations: Generate a Profile API Key
• You have set up a custom field for the Lead ID

Create Your Lead to Contact Workflow

To build your Zapier workflow for sending leads from WhatConverts to Capsule CRM:

Step 1: Set Up the Trigger

1. Log in to your Zapier account.
2. In the left-hand menu, click "+ Create", then click "Zaps".
3. Use the AI Copilot to enter the integration you are setting up, or use the Trigger Box and search for "WhatConverts".
4. Select "New Lead" as the Trigger Event. Click “Continue”.
5. Connect your WhatConverts account by following the prompts (see Connect WhatConverts to Zapier for detailed instructions).

Step 2: Create a Contact in Capsule CRM

1. Click the Action step to select a platform.
2. Search for and select "Capsule".
3. If not already connected, sign in to your Capsule CRM account by entering your Site Address and selecting “Allow”.
4. Choose "Create Contact”. Click "Continue"
5. Map any fields you wish to pass over into Capsule.
6. Test this step to create a test contact in Capsule CRM

Activate Your Workflow

Once you've successfully tested all steps:

1. Review the entire workflow to ensure all mappings are correct.
2. Verify the Lead ID custom field is properly mapped.
3. Click "Publish" to activate the Zap.
4. Monitor the first few leads that come through to ensure contacts are created correctly.

Understand Lead ID Storage

When this workflow creates a contact in Capsule CRM, it stores the WhatConverts Lead ID in the custom field you created. This Lead ID is crucial for the reverse workflow that sends sales data from Capsule back to WhatConverts. With this ID stored, future workflows can directly update the correct lead in WhatConverts without needing to search by phone or email.
