Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) Authentication
Single Sign-On (SSO) Authentication allows your team to log into WhatConverts using your identity provider (idP), improving both security and ease of access.
Enabling Single Sign-On (SSO)
To enable SSO:
- Open the Master Account Settings. Select "Security".
- In the left panel, click "SSO Authentication".
- Fill in the required fields:
- SSO URL: The URL of your identity provider (idP) where users will be redirected to sign in.
- Entity ID: The URL where your idP publishes public metadata about its SAML configuration.
- SAML Certificate: Enter the public key into the SAML Certificate field. Accepted formats are CER, CRT, CERT, or PEM files.
- Click "Update SSO Authentication".
- Click "Test SSO Settings". You will be prompted by your idP to log in with your credentials. A successful test will confirm your configuration.
- Click "Enable SSO Authentication".
Note: Please confirm you have invited employees to your idP before enabling SSO integration. Once password-based login is turned off, employees who have not created an account with your idP will lose access until they do so.
If you encounter errors, you can turn off Single Sign-On by disabling the Enable SSO Authentication toggle.
