Get Started: Install Tracking Code

The WhatConverts tracking code is the key to capturing every lead on your website. By installing it in this step of the Get Started Checklist, you’ll ensure leads are tracked instantly in your account.

Step 1: Choose How to Install the Code

When you click Install Tracking Code in the Get Started checklist, you’ll see two options:

1. Have my developer install code: Enter your developer’s email address and click “Send Email”. WhatConverts will send them detailed instructions.
2. Install code myself: Choose from one of three methods:
   • Install via WordPress Plugin
   • Install via Google Tag Manager
   • Install Manually

Step 2: Install the Code

If you’re installing the code yourself, follow the guide for your method:

• WordPress Plugin: Install the WhatConverts plugin from the WordPress marketplace, then paste your profile ID into the settings.
• Google Tag Manager: Add a new custom HTML tag, paste the code, and set it to fire on all pages.
• Manual Install: Paste the code just before the closing tag of every page you want to track.

Step 3: Verify Installation

1. Return to WhatConverts and click “Verify Installation”.



2. If the code is detected, you’ll see a success message. Click “Continue”.
